How to measure for roller blinds
- 10–15 minutes
- 简单
- Metal tape, pencil, notepad, step ladder
The blind sits inside the frame. For a flush fit you need at least 70 mm of depth (90 mm for a double). The width is bracket to bracket, so it includes the controls and brackets. Measure in millimetres with a metal tape.
- 1
Check the recess depth
Measure from the glass to the front edge of the frame. Under 70 mm (90 mm for a double), or tiles, handles or sensors in the recess? Choose a face fit.
- 2
Measure the width three times
Inside the frame, at the top, middle and bottom. Write down all three.
提示Use a metal tape. Fabric tapes stretch.
- 3
Measure the drop three times
Inside the frame, on the left, centre and right.
- 4
Send the smallest numbers, exactly
Narrowest width and shortest drop, in millimetres. Pick the chain side too. Readings 10 mm or more apart mean the frame isn’t square: send us a photo before you order.
注意Don’t take anything off. We make the deduction at the factory.
常见问题
- What is the minimum recess depth?
- For a flush recess fit, at least 70 mm for a single roller blind and 90 mm for a double. Shallower than that, choose a face fit.
- Do I take anything off my measurements?
- No. Send the narrowest width and shortest drop exactly as measured for a recess fit, or the finished size for a face fit. The factory makes any deductions.
- My window isn’t square. Which number do I use?
- The narrowest width and the shortest drop. If your readings are 10 mm or more apart, send us a photo before you order so we can suggest the best fit.
- Is a double roller measured differently?
- No, measure it like a single blind. A flush recess fit needs at least 90 mm of depth.
