Question 1

Is this an online-only store?

Accepted Answer

Yes — we're a 100% online store. You browse and order on our website, we manufacture your blinds or curtains to your exact measurements, and deliver them ready to install. Every order includes hardware and step-by-step installation guides so it's straightforward to do yourself.

Question 2

Do you offer professional installation?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Professional installation is an optional add-on available in selected Sydney postcodes. You can select it at checkout, or email us at hello@blinkblinds.com.au if you missed it. Installation is quoted individually — typically $200–$500 for a 3-bedroom home depending on quantity.

Question 3

How do I choose the right product?

Accepted Answer

Compare fabric types, light control, room suitability, colours, and options on each product page. You can configure your exact size online and see the price before ordering.

Question 4

Where can I find measuring and installation instructions?

Accepted Answer

Our product pages include measuring information, and every order includes the hardware and step-by-step instructions needed for DIY installation.

Question 5

Where do you deliver?

Accepted Answer

Australia-wide courier delivery is quoted by postcode at checkout where a live courier rate is available. Professional installation remains available in selected Sydney postcodes.

Question 6

What roller blind fabrics do you offer?

Accepted Answer

We carry three fabric types — all from the Louvolite range. Blockout blocks 100% of light, ideal for bedrooms, shift workers, and media rooms. Light filtering softens and diffuses 50–70% of light, great for living areas and kitchens. Sheer lets most light through and works well layered with a blockout blind for day/night flexibility.

Question 7

Which fabric is right for my room?

Accepted Answer

Bedroom: blockout is the go-to for full darkness. Living room: light filtering or a sheer + blockout double blind. Kitchen and bathroom: light filtering for soft natural light. Home office: light filtering reduces glare without darkening the room. Compare the light-control details on each product page before ordering.

Question 8

What is a double roller blind?

Accepted Answer

A double roller blind fits two fabrics — typically a sheer and a blockout — on a single bracket. During the day you drop the sheer for soft light and daytime privacy. At night you drop the blockout for complete darkness. It's space-efficient and looks seamless.

Question 9

How does "Make it Double" work when ordering?

Accepted Answer

Choose your main fabric first, then continue to the Review step. In Review, you'll see the "Make it Double" card — click "Choose second fabric" to add a complementary layer on the same window. If your main fabric is blockout, we show compatible light filter/screen options; if your main fabric is screen/light filter/sheer, we show compatible blockout options. If you need a specific pairing (for example Sanctuary BO Marble + Kleenscreen Pumice), add it in order notes or email hello@blinkblinds.com.au and we'll confirm availability before production.

Question 10

Do you sell motorised roller blinds?

Accepted Answer

Motorisation is available by enquiry — email us at hello@blinkblinds.com.au and we'll provide options and pricing based on your specific windows.

Question 11

How do I measure for a roller blind?

Accepted Answer

All measurements are in millimetres (mm) — never centimetres. For a recess fit, measure the internal width at three points and use the smallest. For a face fit (mounted outside the frame), measure your desired total width and drop. You give us the measurements; we handle all technical deductions automatically.

Question 12

How do I clean my roller blinds?

Accepted Answer

Gently wipe with a damp cloth for regular upkeep. For stubborn marks, use a mild detergent solution and blot — don't scrub. Avoid harsh chemicals and always test on a small area first. Roll the blind down fully to clean the entire surface.

Question 13

What curtain styles do you offer?

Accepted Answer

We specialise in S-wave curtains from the Hoad range. S-wave is a modern, clean-line heading style that creates soft, even ripples — it's elegant, contemporary, and incredibly easy to operate. The track is included with every curtain order.

Question 14

What fabric types are available?

Accepted Answer

We offer two fabric types: sheer curtains for light, airy daytime privacy that lets natural light filter through, and blockout curtains for full privacy and complete light block. Both are available in a range of colours and textures from the Hoad collection.

Question 15

Can I customise my curtains?

Accepted Answer

Yes — quite extensively. You can choose fabric fullness (100% or 120%), track type (slim or square), track colour (white or black), bracket type (ceiling or face mount, single or double), rail height, and collar colour. All options are available at the product customisation step.

Question 16

Is the curtain track included?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the S-wave track is included with every curtain order. You simply measure ceiling to floor (we mount at ceiling level) and provide your total width — we handle all the technical calculations from there.

Question 17

How do I measure for curtains?

Accepted Answer

Measure the total width of the area you want covered (inside or outside the window frame — just the full width you need). For drop, measure ceiling to floor, as the track mounts at ceiling level. All measurements in millimetres. We handle all curtain-specific deductions based on the options you select.

Question 18

Can curtains help with insulation?

Accepted Answer

Blockout curtains provide a meaningful layer of insulation — keeping warmth in during winter and heat out in summer. Paired with a roller blind inside the recess, you get maximum thermal performance and a polished layered look.

Question 19

How long does delivery take?

Accepted Answer

All our products are custom-made to your exact measurements. Manufacturing takes 2–3 weeks (up to 4 weeks in December). Once ready, courier delivery timing depends on the rate returned for your postcode. Need it sooner? Email hello@blinkblinds.com.au to ask about express manufacturing.

Question 20

How do I measure my windows?

Accepted Answer

Use a metal tape measure and work in millimetres only — we don't use centimetres. Measure every window individually, even in the same room, as sizes vary. Double-check all measurements before ordering — products are custom-made and remakes are charged. If your drop varies by more than 10mm across the window, contact us before ordering.

Question 21

What if I measure incorrectly?

Accepted Answer

Accuracy is your responsibility, which is why we provide detailed measuring guides. If a product doesn't fit due to an incorrect measurement you provided, remakes are available but charged — this includes pickup, delivery, and remake costs. We strongly recommend double-checking before submitting your order.

Question 22

What is your returns policy?

Accepted Answer

All products are made to your specific measurements, so we don't accept change-of-mind returns. If your order arrives damaged, notify us within 48 hours with photos and we'll replace or fix it at no cost. If a product has a manufacturing defect, it's covered under our 1-year warranty.

Question 23

What does the warranty cover?

Accepted Answer

We offer a 1-year warranty on manufacturing defects from the date of delivery. This covers the product itself — not damage caused by incorrect installation or normal wear. If something isn't right, contact us at hello@blinkblinds.com.au.

Question 24

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept all major credit and debit cards, processed securely through Stripe. Payment is taken when you place your order. We'll begin manufacturing immediately and ship once your custom products are complete.

Question 25

What does an AI Studio Pass cost?

Accepted Answer

A$10 including GST buys 10 render credits. One generation request uses one credit. Credits are account-bound, non-transferable and do not expire. There are no free generations.

Question 26

Does every credit pack include an order voucher?

Accepted Answer

No. The first eligible Studio Pass includes a separate A$10 promotional order voucher for one qualifying order with at least A$250 of eligible custom blind or curtain merchandise before the voucher. It is account-bound, single use, cannot be stacked with another promotion, excludes delivery and installation, and expires after 90 days. Refill packs include credits only.

Question 27

What happens if a generation fails?

Accepted Answer

A technical or provider failure, or a generation blocked before a usable result is supplied, automatically restores the debited render credit. You may report one quality issue per generated result; Blink may assess the description and non-image service records and grant one replacement credit.

Question 28

Is an AI Studio image an exact preview of the finished product?

Accepted Answer

No. It is an indicative AI visualisation, not a measurement, specification or installation guarantee. Colour, scale, folds, texture, lighting, hardware and fit may differ. Confirm the real product configuration and specifications before ordering.

Question 29

Are my room photos private?

Accepted Answer

Studio photos and results use private storage and short-lived signed customer access. The normalised generation copy is re-encoded and supported EXIF or GPS metadata is not carried into it, but the private accepted original may retain embedded metadata. Remove sensitive metadata before upload and use the account deletion controls when needed. Blink does not use the images for marketing or AI model training without your separate explicit consent.

Question 30

How long are Studio images kept?

Accepted Answer

Private source material is scheduled for deletion 30 days after the latest generation and generated results 12 months after creation. Deletion is recorded only after private-storage deletion succeeds and is retried if storage is temporarily unavailable. Public launch remains subject to separate provider, privacy, legal and staging approval gates.

Question 31

Can I delete a Studio image or project?

Accepted Answer

User-requested deletion is implemented and retryable. Use your account controls to request deletion of a result or project. It may show as pending while an upload or generation is active, and the service retries private-storage deletion before marking it complete.

Question 32

Can Blink staff open a reported Studio image?

Accepted Answer

Routine staff image access is not provided. Only an administrator may request a five-minute signed preview for a result you reported. A written reason and fresh request identifier are required, and access is audited before the link is issued.
